I've used a lot of vacuum bag rolls over the past few years. This is the brand I prefer above all others. Some of the others I've been forced to buy, when these are out of stock; don't work well in my FoodSaver. The FoodSaver vacuum isn't able to get all of the air out of other brands I've used. Some puncture easily when being moved around in the freezer. Some are thinner. This brand never fails to give good results.

I found an older model FoodSaver at an estate sale and needed to buy some bags to use with it. These are half the price of the brand name, with double the quantity it seems, reviews were good, so I tried them out. They work perfectly! I think the model I found was an N280 or something, it's white. Definitely older, but still does what it's supposed to, and these bags are VERY affordable. Very happy with this purchase, and will be back when I need to re-up my supply.

I have used a lot of different brands of vacuum bags but these are the best. They are thick and almost impossible to tear. They fully vacuum out the air. They seal well and they last. I have become conscious about adding plastic to the world so I make the bags large enough for me to carefully and fully wash the bags after they have been used if they are possible (and generally are if they have only been in the freezer) and reuse them again. I doubt that the manufacturer wants this information in this review, but I owe it to the universe and, hopefully, the continued allowance of plastics for me to seal food.

How to make a vacuum bag from a roll?

Steps to make a bag from a roll:
1. Cut the desired amount of roll material.
2. Press the "Seal" button. The red seal light will illuminate.
3. Insert the open end of the bag into the vacuum channel until the clamp motor starts. The roll material must be centered between the arrows. Continue to hold until the clamp motor stops.
4. When the red seal light turns off, the sealing is complete.
