Been using vacuum sealer rolls for about 4 years and this product is the best I've seen to date. The 8-inch x 100-foot roll lasts a long time, the plastic is nice and thick, has embossed length markers (no more ruler) and the dispenser box has a built in cutter (no need to hide the good scissors). Might be slightly more expensive than two 50-foot rolls from other vendors but the features mentioned above make it worth it. However, it would be nice if the supplier offered 100-foot refills for the dispenser box and knock a couple of bucks off.

We bought a deep freeze years ago. You quickly learn that regular plastic bags are not a great idea - you can easily get freezer burn, frost, etc from these types of bags. A vaccum seal bag removes most of the air and helps prevent freezer burn, frost building up on your food and weird freezer flavors. I like this product, although have had a few times that it was difficult to get the air out of the bag all the way. I supposed it could be my vacuum pump, but other brands have less issues. I think these bags are a little thicker - maybe that has something to do with it. I've also have trouble with bones. On multiple occasions, a bone has torn the bag while the air was being removed. I know a bone can be sharp - but you need to be careful sealing. (Not that I often do this, but lobster shells will also puncture the bags). For normal uses, these are good bags and affordable. I like being able to cut them to the size I want. However, be careful when sealing meat with bones. You might get s small tear. Also, we use these frequently in our sous vide. These hold up well and work great for that.

This is a great product. 5 stars from me. I ordered 2 sizes (the equivalents of quart and gallon size bags) and I am very pleased with them. They have fit my needs perfectly. I love how easy the cutter makes it. You must press down to make good contact. Don't slide the cutter too quickly, it could bunch up or shift. I have read some negative reviews on the cutter, but that has not been my experience at all. Just don't zip over it like greased lightning, take it slowly and apply a little pressure as you slide it across and you'll have success.
